Hooked & Harvest – Restaurant Interior Design, The Rocks

For Hooked & Harvest, we set out to reimagine the traditional fish and chip shop, creating a fresh, contemporary space with a distinctly Australian identity. Rather than drawing on the expected coastal aesthetic, we looked to the landscapes of the Murray River, developing a warm palette of greens, rust tones and natural textures that reflect the colours of the Australian bush and waterways. This connection is reinforced by the laser-cut Murray cod integrated into the front of the service counter, providing a subtle nod to one of Australia’s iconic freshwater fish. Integrated planting and textured finishes add warmth and personality, while the open kitchen and streamlined service counter place the customer experience at the heart of the design. Beyond the interior, we also worked closely with the client and branding designer to help develop the name and shape the brand identity, ensuring the branding, signage and interior came together as one cohesive experience.

It reflects an integrated approach to interior design in Sydney, connecting brand strategy, customer experience and hospitality operations.
