At Kreativ, design and construction aren't separate conversations. Our team brings architecture and design pedigree from some of Sydney's most respected practices — across hospitality, retail, commercial, heritage and residential projects — alongside deep technical knowledge of the approvals, documentation and compliance frameworks that turn concepts into built venues.
That combination is rarer than it sounds. Most studios hand a project to a builder at documentation stage. We stay through construction, coordinating consultants, protecting the design intent and managing the approvals process — because the gap between drawing and delivery is where most fitout problems are born, and closing it is what the studio was built to do.
Between us, we have designed, documented, approved and delivered hundreds of venues across Australia. The result is a studio with genuine commercial intelligence alongside its design capability — one that understands how a space needs to operate, not just how it needs to look.
Who We Are
Kreativ Design is a Sydney interior design studio specialising in hospitality, with equal fluency in retail, commercial office and residential projects. We are on the recommended designer list for Westfield Shopping Centres, and our work trades every day across Scentre Group (Westfield), Chatswood Chase and The Mix at Chatswood, Mirvac, QIC and Vicinity centres — and on high streets from Manly to Newcastle.
The studio was built on one conviction: design and delivery should never be strangers. Most fitout problems are born in the gap between the people who draw and the people who build — so we closed the gap. Our concepts are tested against buildability and budget from the first sketch, our documentation is drawn to be priced and constructed without translation, and our designers stay on the project until the Occupation Certificate is issued and the doors open.

Our design team trained and practised at some of Sydney's most respected architectural firms, across residential, multi-residential, hospitality, hotel, education and commercial developments — including more than a decade of specialist heritage experience. Complex sites don't scare us; they're where the pedigree shows.
Approvals fluency
CDC or DA pathways, Retail Design Manager reviews, certifier coordination, food-safety and access compliance — we navigate this territory daily, from standard tenancies to heritage-listed buildings and new transport-precinct sites. Compliance is designed in from day one, never patched in after a knock-back.
Honesty about money
A realistic budget estimate is part of our concept stage, and a fixed-price construction proposal with a program is on the table before building work begins. You make every decision knowing the number — because surprises belong on the menu, not in the invoice.
A Studio That Looks Like Sydney
Sydney's food scene is the world on one street — and so is our studio. Our team brings design training and life experience from Colombia, China, Greece and Australia to every project. When an international brand needs its identity translated for the Australian market, or a first-generation owner wants their heritage on the plate and in the room, we don't research that sensibility. We have it at the table.

Kreativ is deliberately a compact, senior team: the people who design your venue are the people you deal with.
Oliver Primes — Director
Thirty years on every side of hospitality: qualified chef in world-class hotels including the Novotel, InterContinental and Radisson Plaza; venue owner; commercial kitchen consultant; and three decades in construction delivering fitouts. Oliver remains hands-on with project management and site operations on every job — when he reviews a kitchen, he is checking it against services he has personally run.
Panos Bravos — General Manager
Panos leads the studio's operations, client relationships and project delivery. With more than 25 years across general management, business development, sales and project management in Greece and Australia, he is the constant between a client's first site inspection and their opening night — scoping the brief, coordinating approvals and consultants, and keeping design, budget and program aligned. The best part of the job, for him, hasn't changed in two decades: the moment a design becomes a trading venue.
Carlos Robayo Vanegas — Designer
A decade in Australian practice as project architect, designer and estimator with firms including Popov Bass Architects, MKD Architects, MHNDU and Plus Architecture, across residential, multi-residential, hospitality and hotel developments. Carlos designs with an estimator's eye — his concepts hold their integrity through pricing and construction, because he already knows what they cost.
Hannah Evans — Designer
Fifteen years across commercial office, education, retail, residential and food premises projects — including more than a decade in specialist heritage architecture. When a venue sits inside a heritage-listed building or a sensitive site, Hannah is the reason the approval still lands and the character still sings.
Joanna Ye — Designer
Joanna turns plans into places you can walk through before they exist — efficient layout planning, 3D modelling and the live visualisations our clients make decisions in. With café and retail projects managed end to end and a graphic design background, she carries a brand's identity from logo to lightbox to laminate.
Behind the design team sits project coordination and estimating support, so every concept is tested against buildability and budget from the first sketch.
